Title: Alpha car image
Post by: foghat on Nov 06, 2006, 4:40 PM
I've downloaded all of the MCO cars and I'm still trying to get a decent looking one. One of the cars ia a '71 Duster. After I finished it, the car it didn't look right. So I downloaded the one done by Sniper so I could compare the two. The big difference is the alpha image of the car. The origiinal  0000-a.bmp is mostly white with black images of the dash and steering wheel. The one that's on Sniper's car shows the complete layout of the car. My question is how did he do this? I use PSP7 and I've  read all about alpha channels, but I can't understand how to make an image of one to use in the game. Any help with this would be greatly
appreciated.
thanks, foghat

I guess this is for NFS6:HP2? Well, with my limited knowledge from HS to HP2 conversions, I'd say, take the 0000.bmp and make it a greyscale image and then save it as 0000-a.bmp. Not sure, though.
