With the best NFS game since HP2 coming out soon and shift 2 on the way next year did EA learn to stay away from gansta pimp your ride out games?Seeing the cop chase on a dessert road just to cool.Even the rumor list seems old school as well.WHat do you guys think?

I guess that depends on the success HP2010 will have. If EA gains much money from it, they'll do an HP2011. If not, they'll do a UG3.

No, in fact EA is going to release a Underground-style NFS on 2011. EA learned they can't please everyone with a single game, so they are milkin NFS.

The best part of HP3 is there is no body mods and vinyls let the ricers cry now.The new game company really is getting NFS back to the real roots of the game as in game for car fans not tuning fans.I sure hope the UG dies like disco did back in the 70's as in never ever coming back again.

I disagree with every character of your post. Tuning is not ricing, boy.

true tuning is not ricing but you give a ricer options to rice out a car and they will which was not part of the first 6 nfs games

I'll blame the array of parts, very few were good looking.

A Ferrari needs no tuning. It didn't in NFS 1 - 6, so why should it do so now? :p

I'm all for stock cars.

The only worthwhile tuning feature that HP2010 is missing IMO is a livery editor, to give our cars more character. But I'm cool with manufacturer colours.

so far for the game itself it should stay away from the FnF gansta style for good now.Besides the new guys making the game seems not to like that style as well.It is a good idea to throw in a sim once awhile but overall i got a feeling new NFS is going to old NFS again. It was a mistake anyways coping a riced out movie anyways from the start. As my logo goes old NFS forever and it does seem it is back again just look at the car list for HP3, and the track designs just stunning no more boring flat cities with million ugly buldings.IF EA wants street racing they should bring back black sucky box again and called it a completely different name because when they did UG1 to and the other FnF games it was not NFS anymore.NFS was a car fan game that was got me into the place the cars i love cars since i was 6 yrs old so NFS was car fan game not let see how much crap you can add.

Following your logic, NFSS shouldn't be called an NFS.

BTW, you should understand that FnF is no street racing, FnF is dead. Moreover, if there's a new street racing NFS, it should be like Initial D or Wangan Midnight. Serious racing, ppl who puts their money where their mouths are.

shift and prostreet wasn't really a NFS either but it wasn't riddled by bad storylines and cutscenes.PS you could rice realy easy and shift was little ricing if you added enough of vinyls as well. With HP3 coming out with a pre UG carlist as well says EA may never make another gansta game again but switch between good old nfs style and sim.The trailers for HP3 is just amazing.

Seems like you're repeating yourself again. Let me repeat myself again: Street racing IS NOT FnF, IS NOT gangsta, IS NOT ricing. Watch/read Initial D or Wangan Midnight, FFS.

It's a good idea that EA separate NFS in 3 branches: classic style (HP'10), sim (Shift), and street racing (World). The problem with Underground onwards was that the player that were get used to the usual NFS recipe feeled betrayed by changing the formula. If NFSU were offered aside a classic style NFS when launched, all the amount of ranting and crying would have been minimal.

Is just a matter of choice. There are guys who likes to race/chase in cars that costs more than their houses in utopic locations, others prefer to push themselves to their limits in Laguna Seca and whose who like to tune their own cars to shred down the streets and/or mountain passes.

Is too hard to make a street racing NFS without gangsta crap, ricing or crappy storyline? No. (NFSUC somewhat showed that, but it just got screwed by its poor imitation of the The Departed. And its crappy textures. And its crappy AI. And its crappy grading. And its crappy bugs)

They say Shift 2 is coming out i would ge that titlw without thinking about.Shift was well done so the direction the NFS is going now is pretty good.I guess when you pick a certain type of NFS has been done it goes on way or another most of the time if you see the showcases on this site and nfscars.you see alot of riced out cars or fans like me who like cars the way they are already all stock. Not to many cars i would say that was well done tuned and not riced.Still is so great to see a old school style NFS game again i swore old style was long gone dead and never to return.
