Hi, well if its NFS 4 HS, all i did was used the old,
NFS Wizard program inside the ViV in cops Bnk.
um, all you can do is change the Volume um Hrz like.
Higher or Lower,i did that before. Or maybe extract them out
as Wav' then edit them with Windows Sound progy,or others.
Um then reinsert it. Well just trying to ah, let you whats possible.

In what format do they get extracted?

There are tools to convert from wav to other formats as well.

Maybe I'm better off asking a person who made sirens before to make me one. But on nfscars the last time a siren maker has posted anything was like in 2002-2005. So I have no idea how I'm going to get a siren like this: http://www.rescue911.de/vid-police-car-sfpd-14870.htm .

I've never done this before, but I recommend you do what Will said by opening up that "COP.BNK" file in NFS Wizard, and then right-clicking on the appropriate sound and exporting it to the desktop. If it's .wav or .midi, you're in luck - they are easy to convert and modify with sound-editing tools.

Sorry I don't know much about NFS HS sound editing because NFS Wizard always crashed for me when I tried to open a sound file :(

Zpectre put together a tutorial about editing NFS4 car sounds at NFSCars. Here's the link (http://www.nfscars.net/forum/showthread.php?t=16706).

The file you need to edit is the SIREN.BNK located in HS\Data\Audio\SFX. You can extract and import soundfiles and set their loop using NFS Wizard.

Dosen't NFS Wizard mess up the siren when you try to import a siren because thats what I heard.

                             *EDIT*

Okay I found some sirens I like in wav's and i renamed them to sample1 and sample2. I went to go use nfs wizard to import them and when I viewed the folder I kept them in the wav's weren't there  So what do I do. They are not there in nfs wizard but in the folder they are. HELP :eek3: :((

I'm not sure if I understand you problem.

You open the siren.bnk in NFS Wizard, right-click on the sound-curve, select import and browse to the WAV-file you want to use - that's it.

Does it happen in game or in NFS Wizard itself?

Do you have the right wav format? Zpectre says what format to use in his tutorial.

You could go to the sound options in the game, if it's set at 3dEAX, change it to Stereo.

Some cars with custom sound effects get this error, but changing the above setting often solves it.

Thanks Remko I'll try that. But I'm still worried! :ugh:

                                                              *EDIT*

Bad News. I only have stereo and mono modes and I still get the crash and exception caught! why can't I just have high stakes working for 1 month without a  crash. Man :(( high stakes always crashes on me!

Perhaps the sample you're using is too long. Moreover, did you set the loop of your new sound?

Try replacement sounds with a duration of ~5 sec.
