what actually is the job of alloy rims other than they look good. :)
Bigger rims + lower profile tires = more grip
lighter rims = less weight = go faster
No.
Smaller/Lighter rims = less weight = faster acceleration ;)
hmmm.... so thats it... i just bought a car (daihatsu cuore) and I asked dad for rims.. dad said that they fuck the engine. so i though to ask u guys.
thnx
rims have nothing to do with the engine...
Though the performance rims aren't really appropriate for a sub 1.0liter car...
its not even 1.0 litre. its 850cc. :O well, its a best choice for driving intercity but not suitable for long drive.
Low profile tires aren't performance at all. Real performance tires and wheels are lightweight 15" rims with slicks. All big wheels and low profiles tires do it look cool.
Well,Tires Add Grip To Add Acceleration And Speed.Big Skinny Tires Make Perfect Drifting Tires
By "Big skinny" I'm going to assume you mean wide low-profile tires. If that is indeed the case, you're fucking retarded. And they don't "add" acceleration or speed, all sticky tires do is lessen parasitic loss of power.
reminds me that my bmw model is driving on rims right now...i am to lazy to model tire treads :/

What a jerk, the thinner the profile, the quicker the tire will wear out, and drifting wears out tires very very quickly, thats why it sucks.
Numbskull
Grip actually slows down your car's top speed.
Yeah but without grip, your car will go out of control and crash. You wouldn't want that would you?
You need a balance between the two.
For a daihatsu cuore, alloy wheels do absolutely nothing except make it look a bit better, which wouldnt be worth the cash imo.
In general, I think the best size for looks, weight, and performance is 245/45R17, its not too big to add significant weight to a car that comes standard with 16" rims, looks balanced on most cars (except the 350Z/G35 -- that thing absolutely NEEDs 18s or 19s, anything smaller looks bad), and offers good grip and accel.
You know, every car in NFS Series had rims. None was rimless.:p
thats not true.
you could get an error in nfsU, so he car has no rims its driving on :p
i think i had that problem in MW too.
in Carbon its rather just...the whole car, from time to time.
(its because of the different poly counts of the parts, and the loading times :p)
strange.. I never had that problem...
strange.. I too never had that problem...
I too never had that problem.
ok? i did have that problem! :/
No rims or no tires? If it's driving without rims, it's gonna be four huge black holes at the sides. :D:D:D
