Title: Looking for some NFS HS cars
Post by: Rider66 on Sep 15, 2017, 10:02 AM
I've been currently checking some of my NFS collections and it seems like in NFS Bolide/Butch's folder I missing at least three cars that were converted by Skoti to NFS3.

The ones I'm looking for is:
Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato
Alfa Romeo TZ2
Ferrari 250 GTO

Conversions still available at NFSCars, but I can't find the originals anywhere on working sites, neither Archive seems to have properly working backup with files available.

Does anybody still have them? Would be much appreciated.

Hey Rider,

I have a backup of all cars NFSBolide ever released on his website (including the ones for other games such as GT Legends or MBWR). Butch closed his site in 2010 (I think it was), then was nice enough to share a selection of his work on our site again a few years ago. I don't know why he chose to leave a few out, personal reasons maybe.
Anyway, I can send those 3 cars to you, no problem, but I was wondering if there were any more that you were looking for, so I can include those as well. Here's a link to remind us of his definitive NFS4 releases that were on his site: https://web.archive.org/web/20040901033815/http://hvs.free.fr:80/
Just let me know. ;)

Hey Remko, thanks for the info! Looks like I've been wrong about missing ones - and there's much more of them to be honest.
So, first three is still the same:
Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato
Alfa Romeo TZ2
Ferrari 250 GTO
But well, I never thought that he released his Bizzarini for HS. What a surprise for me. I drove that one in GTL for long time, but never saw it in HS ever  :)
So far it looks like there's missing at least the following:
Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada 1968
Cobra Daytona Shelby 1964
Jaguar Type E Lightweight 1963
MGA 1600 twin Cam 1955
MGB 1962
Triumph TR3A 1960
Triumph TR6 1970

Thanks for the help, guys! Remko, I had no issues with that archive.
What a beast that lightweight E-Type was in real life, can't wait to get my hands on it 8)

Since I don't think that every "Looking for..." request should have separate topic, I'll continue in this one, just by renaming it to more common variant.
Either way, I guess most of the members remember some cars from JTrusty, like late 70's Firebirds, GTO of different kinds.
So I'm curious, are there any kind of the lists of the cars that was done? I'm not pretty sure if I'm familiar with each one, since some of them were found in not-so-expected places, like Detroit Muscle mod.
So if anybody have a more or less full collection, can you share the list?
Would be really appreciated.

This is my list:

Pontiac Firebird '79 Esprit
Pontiac Firebird '79 Trans Am (and the pursuit version from detroit muscle)
Pontiac GTO '71 Pro Street
Pontiac GTO '72 Convertible

And some older cars, but quality is poor.

I think this is the most complete list of Jason Trusty's releases for NFS4. A few months later Behind-The-Wheel Racing network closed, including Jason's own NFSPontiac. A few years later, he uploaded a selection of his cars to NFSCars.

Like Noise says, there were older NFS4 releases, but those were lowpoly conversions from NFS3, which is probably why they're left out of the above list.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/jftl5zvdh4ef046/JTrustysNFS4cars.zip?dl=0 (22mb)

These are all Jtrusty's NFS4 cars I had, with an obscure lowpoly SCAA version as a bonus. It includes all the ones on the list above (except the two 90's Firebirds made by Tim Howard)

Noise, Remko - thanks! Got some of the missing ones.
Archive page looking interesting, seems like Jason had some quite interesting works in mind by the time.

I have alot of OLD stuff too, but as was said quality is terrible, I found them checking sites out on Mad's post about Classic NFS Resources Sites.

Wow, NFS Bolide / Butch sure made so many interesting classic cars for HS! Too bad his site is no longer exist and several cars are lost forever from the internet. I was completely unaware of Butch's site existence back then. What a great loss. :'(

Remko, could you send me a PM with download link of the entire collection of Butch's HS cars from his site? I would like to get my hands on those classics. :D

Okay, I'm looking for another lost HS files. Does anyone have an EA scaled version of JP RACING's Ferrari F40, as well as Killuncle's Mazda Eunos Roadster and Checker Marathon from this archived site (the archived version of those files are corrupt): https://web.archive.org/web/20010205053300/http://killuncle.omega-design.net:80/nfs4_cars.html (https://web.archive.org/web/20010205053300/http://killuncle.omega-design.net:80/nfs4_cars.html)
Any help would be appreciated.

I can help you with the F40.(it was only availible on JPracing site)

Nice find, those killuncle cars, but the Checker looks bad.The Eunos (upgraded miata b.t.w.) looks nice.I don't have them.

Thank you for your reply! :D

Yeah, after taking a closer look of that Checker, I admit that it's kinda oddly modeled, so I will dismiss it. But the Eunos Roadster is pretty amazing for an old low-poly car. Shame that it's not available anywhere.

Nonetheless, I appreciate your help, noise. Have a nice day! :)

Hi Stifen, if you're still interested, I have the Checker here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xviveml5itqrlbf/check4.zip?dl=0
I agree that it looks pretty crude (it's from sept. '99, I think) I downloaded it as a possible traffic replacement, but when Econobrick's Checker came out, decided to use that one instead.

Also, an early version of the Eunos Roadster. This one came from the Chistian Pittet archive, so it's not the original zipfile (no readme text, for example). I also think  it's an earlier version than the one on that page, because this one doesn't seem to have pop-up lights. Still:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4sciswmfsdf77fp/mazda_eunos_roadster.zip?dl=0

Otherwise, the MB Vision SLR and SLA are the only ones from Killuncle that I have - possibly the R390, but I'm not sure. And yeah, I've been trying to download those zipfiles too  :-\ I read somewhere that Zips from the Internet Archive tend to be corrupted because the crawlers used to stop downloading at 1mb. Interestingly, the vidwall archives from Killuncle's still work, probably because they're smaller.

Post by: noise on Oct 26, 2017, 10:53 AM
Just tried Eunos, but I believe the vidwall is the only reason for downloading. The car looks more like a modfied EA Jaguar XKR.

@Stifen_DY: Fiedo just like JP racing used bigger scale. I have rescaled Ferrari 355F1 by Fiedo & nfsspeed.

@Remko
Thank you for your help! I appreciate that! :D

@noise
You're right. Killuncle's Eunos Roadster wasn't as good as I expected. :(
Sounds great. I'd like to get my hands on it. :)

Thnx Remko, I didn't know that car was availible. Funny enough I remember another police version of this car,
looking like this: https://journal.classiccars.com/2014/11/14/pick-week-1972-amc-javelin-police-car-tribute/
