I have currently used up to 72.2 GB on the C hardrive & with only 4.25 GB left of free space. So would my PC be better if I free it up a bit? How much are you guys using on your hardrives currently & how often do you clean up or defrag?

I only have a 20gb hd as my C drive, but I still have 6gb left, becasue I have other smaller hd's with most of my games on them.  As for cleaning your hd up, just try and move stuff to other drives, or back stuff up to DVD/CD's if possible, hell it couldn't hurt.  As for defragging, it certain;y can't hurt.  As you use programs, move files around on your drive, and add and remove programs and files, sometimes the file clusterscan get scattered around the drive, because it just moves them around to suit itself as best it see fit to do so when trying to access information on the drive.  Using the defrag program, it tries to put all parts of the files back where they were set to go; well it basicly organizes your hard drive so that it doesn't have to look all over the drive for all the parts of a file.  When files get too fragmented, they take longer to load, which eats up system resources.

Yeah I'll take some advices & see how I can manage better, but C is my main hardrive. The other ones are removable devices & I always easily use up the C drive so quickly that I will soon need to add or upgrade a hardrive. I hope my PC's performance will improve with extra spaces & without the useless junks. What sort of anti-virus & spyware protection programs do you guys use?

One thing; to just defrag your c drive, you don't have to move any files off of it.  It will just organize the stuff on there to make things load faster and efficiently.  However if you do move or delete alot of stuff, defrag afterwards, because if you do it before deleting files or moving games and such, it tends to start the problem of fragmented files all over again.

As for AV and antispyware, I use AVG Free for anti-virus, and Adaware 2008 and Spybot: Dearch and Destroy for anti-spyware, though take note, for some reason adaware and spybot don't work well if run at the same time, they conflict with one another if run concurrently, so run one at a time.
