HIS Excalibur ATI Radeon 9600XT AGP. it works fine for most games but is getting on in years. hoping to upgrade to PCI express pretty soon.

I've alwased preferred ATI over NVidia in the past and will probably stick with them for my next purchase, even though NVidia seems to be pulling ahead especially with their mid-range cards.

Asus ExtremeN6600GT (256mb) since April of this year. I could have gotten a better one, of course, but I was on a limited budget, and, to be honest, it's enough of a performance leap for me at the moment. :) I used to have an ATI9600pro (128 mb) for 9 months or so, and before that I did everything with my humble 32 mb Geforce (2001).

Sure is nice to be finally able to play games like Most Wanted and Underground 2 with all graphic settings on. :)

You don't want to know mines, it sucks. Not even Porsche Unleashed works well on it  :( .

I have an Nvidia GeForce FX5500, which is basically an FX5200 with more memory and some additional features. Good for games that are 3 years old now, but can't handle newer games that well. Anti-aliasing on an FX5500 causes a lot of slowdown.

A Gigabyte GeForce 6600 (non-GT!) here. Supports Directx 9 and runs F.E.A.R. well. That's all I need at the moment :P (NFS:HS runs fine, too!)

Hey Zpectre, I also have anNvidia GeForce FX5500 and I can play Most Wanted, obviously I don't play at maximum. I only have problems with the shadows and the raining drops, but works ok!

How do I know what video card I use? All I know is that it is kind of old since I suffer from framerate slowdown in newer games especially NFS Most Wanted.

Right now, I (or rather my dad) has a ATI Radeon 9200 SE, but we're changing coms.

The new one, which was used in the WCG (which means it's a specialised gaming rig), was bought for S$2000 (u.p. S$3300) and includes the following (and I'm just reading from the brochure):
Intel Pentium D 950 3.4Ghz
1GB Kingston DDR2 PC2-4200
ASUS Motherboard P5B
ASUS Casing Vento 7700
ASUS GPU EAX1600XT
ASUS PSU A-45GA
ASUS Optical Drive DRW1608P3S
ASUS CPU Cooler Silent Square
ASUS Monitor PG191
Seagate 80GB HDD
Logitech Internet keyboard
Logitech MX310 Gaming Mouse

BTW that's a 40% discount for one week's (max) use
I also didnt understand a single thing the brochure said
Lead me not to temptation....I can find it on my own

well back in 2003 i bought my first pc,it was a compaq presario 6000 or something like that...anyway i figured whoa i got my first computer and thought i can just play any game on it with no problems at all,boy was i wrong.

so i went out and bought a agp nvidia geforce mx 440 128 MB...well while it was ok for some average games...it was no where near as good as i wanted or thought it would perform for games like high stakes or hot pursuit 2 at that time...i even tried playing some vice city on it and it just looked terrible all around on 640x480 and even 800x600 resolutions.

fast forward 3 years later and well now im on a AGP [BFG Tech] Nvidia Geforce 6800GT OC 256 MB...on my own hand built pc which i built earlier this year...while i know there are better video cards out  there, ill just wait a year or so or untill my financial situation gets a little better for my first pci express rig. ;)

peace
