Hahaheeeh Nils!
Yep, just kidding, was quite a bit more than those Mustangs, but it was most fun creating all those different versions, I do have them still (do you, too?) and now we can even
use them ingame, that's
one real good news
Many tricks developed during that time can still be found even in your recent work, don't they?
Like the sunstripe trick ('alpha channel method' we called this, right?).. or the great ODL plate method you had worked out then as only a few to mention, I still use those on new cars, too.
.. but you didn't stand still as I noticed and you worked out some new tricks fella, eh?
That's the Pursuit Porsche I also use but with some optimizations as you might assume
Of course, you always uhm.. hated my 'reducing' method with CarCad, I know, which has now become obsolete in a way
Remember my favourite thing was creating siren dummies
, I have meanwhile found a way to imitate real flashers/strobes using 10er and 20er values in a certain sequence, always wondered if it looks like that too on other machines (not as old and slow as mine is), but it seems it does.
BrabusAMG from Police H.Q. to who I'm also in contact with tested it on his machine and it gave similar results.
We partly worked together for some time on e.g. his lovely 90's Chevy Cruisers. He is a real nice guy and I just wrote to him to finally test that Modern Patch, he is still trying to reduce his polycounts what can never be a mistake but now we all can rather have focus on a 'smooth' and realistic look when creating cars
O/T
Well, I raised my son, went through a divorce and all that stuff and had lost interest in NFS for a long time, but since the last few years I'm into it again.
And how have you been meanwhile?
O/T off
Wasn't that always your dream (and mine, too
), having different police cruisers in one game? Seems this finally may also become true as I read resp. seen here (Zalcus20's SOTD 30. Sept 2016, that's the day my whole NFS World (and I guess
not only mine) turned upside down somehow
) .. let's see how this finally works out, I'm not into Hexediting, so perhaps one fine day there will be a full customizable yet easy way to play good old NFSHS
Greetings to all
