Guys,

It's been a while since I was created my last track. Some time ago I want make new track but don't know how to extract textures. But some time ago I have luck and I do it!!!

So I'm start making new track for NFS4 :)

Track will be based on this:

Asphalt 6: Adrenaline - Nassau

but funny thing, on Asphalt 7 this track looks much worst (many 2D objects are in 3D and other colors of textures

all textures will be original, and someone can be new (if original are too small)

Track lenght will be 253 blocks, longest track in NFS4.

I love sunny tropical tracks. I will be update this topic regular.

Fun game that Aslpalt 6. Hard to see traffic cars tho

Looks very fun an big an Fast... Wish you all the Luck on it man... Nice Screen shot btw to. I'm hoping to ever get a chance to test it out, when Completed.)
 So this is a Converted type track? From that game then? Or was the mesh from a Trn.frd file format?  Or you Converted, that to?
I'm Just Curious... Is all about this process.

WiLL I'm not Lone Wolf :) I just us his ride to watch how all objects was set.

I make track shape from begin (not converted) but I add some changes. Than I begin adding all objects one by one. Here is what I have done:

On Topic here, what Nfs4 track slot will this run on? Or doesn't it matter hmm.

 Can u tell me, how to copy an paste, a Track block, were it paste to? How that works. On any default Nfs4 track.
Can it be separated, from the track? When pasted, to use elsewhere? Alot head scratches, for me. If you can Pm, me this. I really appreciate that nfsfan83 Good day peace..) Hope it go's good for you this project! Looks very fun to. 😎 Ttul

One question: Why are the big ships extra objects? From my point of view, they should also be blue objects. Or are they animated?

In BLOCK MODE I select block than ctrl+C than go to other and ctrl+V, and old will be replaced.

I use green extra objects from Miami track, and why it is extra object? Because I make wrong thing and sepratly made down part, than middle and on the end up part, and not join it by any polygon. So in older version T3ED i select all parts and converted it to ONE extra object. WHY IS ITN'T POSSIBLE in newest version, I don't understand.

Than I can quick copy this object.

If I want convert it to blue polygons object, after conversion extra to polygon, I can't select this object :( some bug.

Reasons... Sorry about, your Bug thing. So the block mode can't,, be Separated, then to move to any other, area on the track.

I wanted say your Sea water, would look better, if it was Animated, i did that with my old Atlantica track.
Before.. didn't seem slow game down at all.  Looks great!! With a darker blue color. An not so many ripples in the texture.

I can't understand why you want to join objects by converting them. It is easy to merge objects together. Even extra & normal objects. Once objects are combined, there is no longer any information about the individual. How should they then be separated? In half of the polygons? Or in how many parts? I will not include a function for splitting objects, makes no sense to me.
Only program restart can allow split objects.
You are confusing me. You can split object when you restart t3ed?

I create bulding than, from this create NEW, and have two objects, than merge all in one (red color) than I can move it, but sometimes I need one building a little rotate or shrink than I need split. When I restart T3ED this MERGE object is again two buildings separatly :)

Also can You add function grid on top view like here:

or moving objects only by use keyboard (keybord move mode or somthing like that) when I use mouse to move any objects, sometimes I can move exactly to the point.

I'm always happy about any new nfs4 track, but if it looks and feels like from the original game, this will be another great track mod for nfs4. Thanks for still making tracks for nfs4 dude

In comparison to original track YES, but NFS4 tracks is different things.

All track is 253 blocks (longest track for NFS4) at now I'm on 113 block. I must change original track shape because Asphalt track is shorter a lot.

My plan is make this:

and in this I want add all stuff, cool stuff like underwater tunnel or ancient mayan pyramid etc.

Hi there Bud yup ) I like your Atlantis pic very neat and Fantastic, Fantasy place?) Reminds me, of a Waay better, type of Atlantica track rite?. Hmm, well I seen your video was very nice not to Narrow roads? .. An bud I wanted ask I seen your car hit the side walks ,side of the Roads an it does,, that Dead-Stop, ( like stuff? Used to call them Stickys? Like them nfs'2 Converted tracks would, do for HS. Anyway, you can fix that dead stop, make them not stop all the way from, from did track scapes, with 'Road flags' fixed more? Hopefully, I hate to say, I haven't been playing HS, in a long while.. To much thing's bugging me, bills, Car repairs,, ( etc,. Life. So nice pics, an Video nfsfan83 an really liked them side Views, on Replay mode.  Some day I'd like to make my home made, short cuts, in Areas, an fix few little, things your, to busy to fix. If I ever can like,example tip Mark's in the mesh holes, on your side Views, tuck things in so it won't be so Noticable XD by your Sea water/ land area's. By the ships etc.  It's a Huge Track your doing, so I'm asking now is, the Video of all the Works, you've done so far?  Curious of course.

All wrong things in my track will be fix, when main work will be finish.

Oh, that looks kinda nice although I would like to give you a tip: make the inner roof/column (the circled) textures darker so they won't look "flat"

I slow a little work to make much same buildings as I can :) for last days in free time I made this marina village shops, color houses etc, still not finished. But work slowly go forward. Someone may say that there is no need to do such detailed buildings etc but It is great fun and I want it ;)

Hello there, friend, this is late at night here some for me.
 I wanted ask you a few Questions hoping you'll answer me them all.?  ) If it's not to much to ask. #1. When you make your roads, do you really just make one poly at at time? Cause that's all I know, how is to make them bud. Or do you have a faster way, will you tell me.

#2. How's the 'Ai' driving, on your roads? Acting Confused, or ever getting lost? Or not finishing a lap? ) Or doing well bud.

#3. Will you ever have any of your, Sea water Animated... at all, just to look more real on there. Test it see if it slows your game down. I never really used a Full grid cars. Only like 4-5 cars most in races. With high poly cars. To help my game get better Fps. I liked more... ^-^

I really like all your hard work! Here, bud an hope to ever drive this track. But, my unstable, Housing situation :( does not look so good. 🥵 Tmi.. very cold up north here these, last few days. Hoping my Car will Survive these Temps, without anymore, major problems. Gezz 🤬🥶

Guys I have problem with make nice palm tree texture problem is nice islolated background, always if I use any photos, always are white little dots. My question is anybody has access to these isolated palms:

Quick answers for WiLL questions ;)

1. When I want make road wider I must use ctrl+n to creat new road polygon, each by each. I can make one block with perfect wide, next this block use copy and paste like another, but than if I change track shape, blocks will be mess.

2. I don't check AI yet.

3. No, I don't use animated water - just simple texture.

The palm textures in your preview shots look great.
If you need more tree textures go for transparent png's (with alpha channel) - there is a large variety of sites and you only need to downsize the images.

Guys, thanks for good words about my track :) Like always many bugs and errors will be fixed.

If I finish "Comfort Suites Paradise Island" work will be faster.

Will in Poland when I live for last 2 week temp was - 10 in day (-15 night) every day and it is so cool weather :D

I work hard to finish it but I'm a little tired, because I want add so many details and it make work slow.

To do. I'm not able to test drive your track, very soon at all ( no worries,, cause of all of my situation pita. Hmm, ) So, hoping HS can handle all your Details? Without, a white out? Er,  hoping no problems, bud!

Hi again, bud) I'm not nit-picking, your post at all. I thought, Jim already did a longer ver. Of Track blocks, view is about 2-3 blocks long? When I used my 3.8 or ver. 4.0 T3ed, last year so far as that upgrade went I thought.
What about Visibility text, program, he made for you have that Maxed out also? I did most the time, but, it didn't show a 100% like I wanted it to)

Thanks for your update pics, bud btw, it be 27' degrees for a high, maybe Friday. Getting better, here I guess. I seen some major blue ice, formations! on lake Michigan today, got a few nice pics but, my settings wasn't ready an they was to bright. An was to cold to fiddle with,an the Sunshine was to bright.  Maybe, next time I try do better. Was Amazing see that, today! Tho 😸🥶😎😴

Cooya! I know I don't need rush, but I want finish it soon. Now I'm at 211 block of 253 blocks. So... I must only make huge hotels parts, underwater tunnel, some beaches and one lighthouse :D

holy crap, that looks really good! I reckon you could make it look even better if you put some animated waterfalls and if you make that water texture semitransparent with a rocky pool bottom (unless you intend to make that part deep water lol)

Wow... that looks amazing! It seems like you are improving every day.
For disappearing objects and buildings: It´s a view distance problem. You probably "spawned" the building on a block too far away from where you should see it. Moving it around a bit often solved that problem for me.. or increase the view distance ;)

Has transparent water like this ever been done before in an NFS4 track? The effect looks great.

Fantastic work so far. Hopefully HS can handle such a big track.

Moving objects around will probably change to which block it belongs. If you disable it (Edit-Modes->Automatic object membership) you can set the belonging manually in the “Object Properties” window.
For big objects that should be seen from far away it may be a good idea to convert them to global objects.

JimDiabolo change objects to global object help... now they are visible from far. But is it any limit of global object? What is better option: one hotel part - one global object or join all hotels parts (small, middle and high) to one and convert to global object?

just... WOW! Sooo much detail on such a huge track. This looks like "NFSfan83 V2.0"... reeeally next level.
If you can manage to get rid of the tiny little problems your "old" tracks have... like some unconnected ground polygons (seethrough holes), uneven water polygons,pop up buildings and mountains ...and get the collisions somehow right for roadside objects and invisible walls... than this will be your masterpiece for sure!

I don't know what the nfs4 program can handle. In the track file, the number of objects are stored in a 'long' integer number. So you won't reach this limit. I would make one hotel part as one global object. I think in HS there will be a memory limit, or a limit how much polygons can be rendered.

Just.. please take care of the texture seam where the underwater "wall" meets the underwater "ceiling"... the color does not match perfectly as the wall is too blue (or the ceiling too light) ;)

I don't care so much about, how other's Nit-Pick",,, your Hard works! Bud, it's such a big high detailed track! An I really liked your fast Enzo replay or drive. I couldn't notice much of what Cooya said, or others. Really. That sky you made is really touching to😅 all them railings wow hours of eye strains, great work!! Bud. That's my Sunday feedback here 😎 really like to see another, video with a different, car) maybe drive slower, showing start to finish line. With other 'ai' cars to bud would be great. This new week. Wow, the underwater tunnel works amazingly well. :o again, it really makes the game look a lot newer than it is.
Am i correct that there are some fish, manta rays, etc. in the screenshot? I didn't really see them in the video, but maybe the image compression made it hard to see. I also just rewatched the original Asphalt6 video and I don't see any creatures in there either.
But knowing you, adding some extra detail would make it come more alive. :D (maybe throw something unexpected in there, like a whale shark or something, heh)

I have problem with:

1. Sky box - I can't set nice earthcolor, skycolor is 12,127,224 and it is nice but If i use earthcolor this: 107,227,248 like tropical water, sometimes you can see in track ground holes (with this color)

I you have any idea how to set (Tr values) or have better sky textures just write it!!!

2. In alpha version I don't use global object becase... they can be visable from begin... funny stuff nothing more see only hotel

Hey NFsfan83, sorry it took me a while to come up with some feedback.
I've enjoyed doing a few test runs on Nassau, it impressed me again with the number of buildings and the great color and texture quality, I could tell that you had fun building this city. Especially impressive was seeing the power water slide, and of course the underwater tunnel works brilliantly, driving through it at speed gives a cool feeling of depth.  :D

A few thoughts I had (please don't take these as criticism, I am not a track maker myself):

You mentioned the skybox being visible through openings in the streets and pavements, there are a lot of small holes in the surface, and I suppose that could be partly fixed with a different background color... in some areas the holes are pretty big, and I would recommend to add a few more road/grass surfaces to fill them. Of course ignore my comment if you were going to fix these anyway.

The same way with the water textures in the sea/bay areas:

The water texture looks great, but I hope you will fill in the holes here, especially at the start/finish area... at first I thought the start area felt a little empty on the left side, but maybe that will be solved if you can finish the sea textures there.

This is the only 'bug' I found, hope you can see on the map where it is. A sharp pointy 'beach' surface is poking upwards through the fence here.
Other than that, I found no bugs - I mean, no holes in the road you can fall though, that kind of thing. Of course, sometimes the car gets stuck in the fence, but I understand it would be an incredible amount of work to 'fix' all those fences, so I can live with that.

This not a complaint, but I just thought this pier looked like there would be something interesting to see here at the end, and I was a little disappointed I could not drive through the barrier to find out. It looked... inviting, if you know what I mean.  ;)

Those are my first thoughts, they are just opinions, of course, you don't have to agree.  ;)

Hi there Remko I wanted let you know, is if you opened, this track up in T3ed. if you have a mouse wheel on your, mouse? just find that, location of that point Poly an push the Point mode button on top. Use your mouse wheel to zoom in, by rolling it up an down, best you can on that, Point poly sticking up )
Just click on that put your red '+' on that, drag in down slowly, to it's about level with the bottom railing bud. Make sure nothing else is sticking out that area.
Use Track view to help you also. You can also put your mouse pointer, inside track view, to move track around 360 degrees, becarful also.  It's that simple, then click save button on upper left side. I'm not able do this anymore, cause my life is to F.. up ( an from my housing.
So, I wanted say I liked your pics, an cool opinions, an all. Well done. On that happy editing fixing that bud 😎😏 🧐 😴

In addition to what Remko highlighted, I suggest to fix the AI lines in some corners, since the AI vehicles can be caught it the aformentioned fence holes and get stuck or even flip out lol

Also, I suggest to split the roadblock-esque barriers into 3 separate objects, convert them into extra objects, set their crosstype to 4  and set their collide effect to 2 (except for the middle one, that should be 1 since it's solid). Don't forget to change the refpoint of those to Z=Bottom as well.
