Help/F.A.Q / Re: Trouble with Unlimiter v4

You're supposed to select this script for Binary: "_NFSMW-Unlimiter-Part1-Binary". That's the VERSN1 script

There is a good reason why I paused on modding: it's because I have college classes to do and I knew classes were gonna be too much of a burden for me to balance out my atudies and my modding. So burdensome, I had to leave not only the NFSAddons Discord server, but also all other discord servers relating to NFS Modding.

I wish I would create more mods now, but I don't have a choice. I need to prioritize my studies.

Help/F.A.Q / Re: NFS-CarToolkit model export problem
« on: Dec 18, 2021, 8:24 PM »
So nobody know how to fix that texture bug? Unfortunately the tool contain no reedmee file, which contains a way to contact the developer.
It's not a bug; it's a missing feature at worst.

Here's the author's website, try leaving a message in the replies or sth: https://nfs-tools.blogspot.com/

Tbh, I don't think he is active anymore.

Help/F.A.Q / Re: NFS-CarToolkit model export problem
« on: Dec 15, 2021, 11:37 AM »
I have imported many NFS models with NFS-CarToolkit and everithing looks good, specialy all textures are there, but after exporting the model to fbx and reopening the fbx file all textures are mising. The same problem if I expot to z3d. Looks like obj export has the same problem. So is there a vay to export the model with worcking textures?

The texture exporting is done separately. But it can still be done nonetheless.

On the top left corner go to Textures > Export All. You will be prompted to select a folder to store the textures in, so create a separate folder for the textures but make sure both the texture folder and the model are under the same folder. After that, depending on the game, you may have to modify some texture formats to make them work (such as Most Wanted where only DXT1 and DXT3 formats work)

So I was asking this because one of my favorite cars, the Bugatti Centodieci, recently got added onto The Crew 2, and as a bonus, it came with the option to widebody the car! I was excited as that would mean that either I or someone else would eventually mod the car onto NFS games such as MW05 or Carbon. Unfortunately, I am out of options regarding requesting the model, for either of the following three reasons: locked behind a premium paywall, model ripper uninstalled the game, or said ripper doesn't know how to rip the models from the game.

I could only think of the following alternative: use the Centodieci model from CSR2 but add custom parts from other cars of other racing games such as NFS Heat. An example of this would be to add and fit Liberty Walk fenders of the Nissan GT-R from Heat over to the Centodieci from CSR2 as a custom body kit.

So I wanted to ask if any of you Modders were successful at the idea of fitting in parts from different cars of different games onto one car as customization options.

Help/F.A.Q / Re: How start in the nfs modding
« on: Aug 13, 2021, 1:07 PM »
Bro, before anything else, you need to learn the basics of any 3D software of your choice. Zmodeler comes with the ease of its simplicity and it's the ideal tool for beginners in modding. So, I would go with Zmodeler for a start. Once you master the basics (move things around, scale things up and down and etc) in Zmodeler you can jump to MW modding.
AJ has a lot of stuff posted in his blog I still use to this date:
https://nfsmodderscorner.blogspot.com/2021/02/nfsmw-general-modding-information-old.html

However, there is a major problem that frequently gets overlooked: it's a paid software. When you try to import models to a free version of ZMod, it returns an error saying "only registered versions can import models" or something like that, and the only way to register is to pay some sort of a fee for that.
