Yea, I think I will get the DX10 replacement for the 7600GT (8600GT seems to make sense) and a C2D chip next summer.
What is the next one after Conroe? Woodcrest or something? I dont follow the desktop chips as much, but I know Intels mobile roadmap pretty well.

Hehe, don't bother with mere dual core, go for the Core 2 Quad!
Haha, it looks really awsome too, with numbers like "70% faster than C2D being thrown around.

pfft....i think quad cores aren't going to be put to good use until later...same with dual core. We've not even begun to unleash the power of the dual core yet.

Screw you! I only have 250 MB of RAM. :squint:

Yet I don't understand why my 2 year old computer has so little RAM but a lot of GHZ (2.66)

Get 1GB more ram. Its pretty cheap, and will upgrade your performance greatly. I went from 256 ram to 768 and it was a lot faster, booting time was decreased by a significant amount.

Uh...120 dollars is hardly what I consider cheap for a 1GB kit considering that I paid 72 back in the day for the same stuff.

stinge: I've three hard drives....the two 80GB drives are almost filled (8GB and 3.5GB left respectively)...the 160GB drive still has 60GB left...but the drive performance is decreasing....I must have a new one soon.

So why and how do you waste 264 GB on games? I would just uninstall the games I find boring.

Does somebody plays more than 10 games at the same moment? I mean...It's better to play 5 games for example, and when you get bored unistall it and install a new one.

newegg.com is the best. they usually have excellent pricing, and have the best customer service, plus really fast delivery.
