It's official: No Need for Speed game in 2014.

Yes, you read that right. Breaking with the tradition of yearly releases, this year will be the first since 2001 where EA will not release a completely new Need for Speed game (unless you count Motor City Online, of course...). There were already some rumors on the 'net in February, suggesting that a new NFS might be 'on hold', but the Official Need for Speed site published an article today where executive producer Marcus Nilsson explains that Ghost Games will be releasing their next game in 2015, and thus skip a year. He also invites the fans to give feedback and help to shape the future of Need For Speed, so maybe now's the time to speak up...

Also, there is no point for the fans to be speaking up because EA still does their own thing. How long have we been asking for a modern High Stakes remake?
