I kind of go through this off and on when I reinstall NFS HS and tend to get frustrated and give up but now that the modern patch fixes so many issues with the game I am willing to try again.  I am searching here and nfscars.net trying to find the best replacement models for the game that are high resolution and have damage.  Bonus if it has upgrades.  I know it's probably not possible but wanted to see if anyone had done this already and had a list where I could get them.  Sometimes I feel like I am going in circles going back and fourth between the websites.  After I replace the stock cars I want to get the NFS 2 cars as well which I have seen most uploaded here which is awesome.

Also is there a new serial number editor? I know the old one only works if the game is installed which is no problem I can load the cars in my installed version then copy and paste them into my portable version but would make it easier if someone has an easier way.

thanks in advance!

Authors like Memphis and XJ220 have re-done several of the original EA roster at higher quality, but I honestly don't know if they all offer damage (I do know XJ220's Porsche 993 has 3 upgrades). I even think that was part of a project back then, to re-create all original cars from the game in more detail.

I never put together as complete a roster as you're looking for, but still, here is my "90s" folder, although it's from 2010 and not up-to-date (it's missing XJ220's Mercedes SL600 and Corvette C5, for example). https://i.imgur.com/P3mIm4C.jpg

The most recent release that could qualify is probably AJ_Lethal's BMW Z3 2.8, came out in June of this year.

On the subject of serial numbers, I don't know of any new tool than the original SNE. There's the Carmanager that comes with Jim Diabolo's NFS HS Mixer, but I think that doesn't really let you edit the serial numbers on the go. Have you tried that yet?

Yep been keeping an eye on them.  I know it's a tall order just wasn't sure if there were other sites to check as well.  I know to keep police hq in mind when I get to the cop cars.   I have not tried carmanager yet but I will check it out.  Do you have a higher resolution picture? that one is extremely tiny for me

I think we're about the last sites left when it comes to new, quality mod releases for NFS:HS. There used to be GT-R/Drivingpassion, but it seems that has ended, too. You could check this topic: http://www.nfsaddons.com/forums//index.php?topic=1710.0 but the majority of those sites are older ones that happen to be 'still' around. Can't hurt to check a site like Team RSR's, though, I never checked if there was anything there that wasn't also here, who knows.

Derp, how did I fumble that  :P Fixed, sorry: https://i.imgur.com/P3mIm4C.jpg

Thanks for the link and that's an awesome list you got there in your game.  Do you have a matching Camaro, M5, Diablo, or 911 Police car? Those can be tricky to find.

Thanks, I like to categorize my custom car by decade, here are my other carfolders: http://www.nfsaddons.com/forums//index.php?topic=715.msg32582#msg32582
In fact, that whole thread is pretty cool to see what others have installed.

I only know of pursuit versions of the M5 and 993 Turbo, with multiple (international) skins, both made by XJ220. I'm not really a pursuit expert though, maybe more can be found at PoliceHQ.
