T3ED ver.3.8

I use most.
Inside of the Light Sources "X"

Inside the,Edit/Tools Properties. I Have been,Doing Experiments in here.
Have been Learning Important things. I'm tired ,but I just started this 3 hours ago. But it takes time do this. Have Multi-screens up on desktop trying write this all down etc. Well, the Answer is Yellow lol cause I just started the Experiments: list, An haven't got so far tonight. But it's in that Values space or whatever it's called, on that line to get the numbers.

But i haven't had any Errors in Game yet..? So this is Going Good. so Far!.
I'm Trying to Make or Invent New Colors in NFS4 on Track Lights, i hope will ever work..?
with more experimentation?
Does anyone know any thing about a Hex:
Editor, that can Predict Color? like Ms Paint can? in RGB Like. It be faster.
if you want to Steal..or Use-
My Invention,an it works... Try Credit to,me in your Read me. Good Nite.
Well, I just wanted show you this cause was Important to me.   8)

Hey,
for my track projects i used to copy light sources from different tracks or from another section. From my understanding the light objects in the editor (with the HEX codes) corrospond to a "glow no." listed in the TR.ini

In the ini-file you can find all possible light sources (31 per track) under the section [track glows]
There you can set color, intensity, flashing etc.
This was explained in some tutorial too.
Check the "ini-File Tutorial.doc" at my dropbox-folder under Tutorials
Click

With this you can set every RGB color you want, e.g.
Red: 255,0,0
Green: 0,255,0
Blue: 0,0,255
Yellow: 255,255,0
Purple: 255,0,255
Orange: 255,128,0
RGB Codes can be viewed with any decent image editing software (i.e. not MS Paint  ;) )...
or check http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html

Hi there, I want ask you now in the (track glows) bottom there I'm not on my pc yet.
But were does it really mention the Flashing of the lights? What's the Code for that madman, um, you just gave some nicer Info. I just Dloaded the Paint Schemer Sweet :) um, can you try let me know how do I find out Exactly the light Souce I want change on the track an color by what line on the Track glows it was Confuses like. I'm after Green is my Goal lol.

I've had that in I tutorial before thx. So the bottom of track glows then is just for the lights only I hoping?  So Strong - Intensity, is just like 255 tops then? To lower? Etc.

All I did was try strarting this project like this way. An I finally got a great Reply... from you madman_nfs.
Try let me know more if you can. Thanks for helping my project. Hope it work..? An even better now?.
Also, I see you can't change that Hex # until the #s above are changed an saved in T3ed.
Found out. I had the Idea this was all handled more, in the Track glows, in I files area tho.
Okay, I try do more later this week then. I know its going to be much testing.
Was you able to have any Success with this. Ttul 😺

The track glows are explained very detailed in the ini-Tutorial.

Quote

2.9 Track Glows [track glows]

[...]

These arrays specify the color and behaviour of the glows. A total of 32, named glow0 through to glow31 appear in the original files, however on not all of them are used on every track

glow*=[i,r,g,b], f, t, ?, d

[i,r,g,b] specify the intensity and RGB color of the light, and can all range from 0 to 255. An intensity of 0 means the glow will not appear [...]

f is a boolean and tells if the glow is solid (0) or flashes (1), in which case
t tells how long the glow should wait in between changing its state.
At a low t value, such as 2 or 3, the glow will flash very quickly. I would not recommend using values lower than 5 as the resulting strobe effect can appear disturbing. At a slightly higher value, such as 6 or 7, the flashing is slow enough to be suitable for objects such as flashing stoplights or similar.

d is a fixed point value with two decimals, specifying the diameter of the glow itself.

There are also three unknown variables which only appear in some of the INI files, and always with the same values (0,0), T0. Experimenting with these values does not seem to have any noticable effect other than in some cases eliminating the respective glow [...] These variables might be part of features which were left out or never put in [...]

Hey...

I tried things, like you posted out.. Yup I was able to get 31 list of lights, to Intensify more few wasn't on high intensity so. But,no colors changed? :/ Bud.
Way it go's i did them the rite way as you said.
What I'm not seeing is, the "F' & the 'T' as you say? to change any or that. I did from the, F'a little im not Grasping a 100%
On the end of each glow line,
of what to do.
An as you say it doesn't show up on all an some not at all. Sure was strange no color lights changed, for the [RGB] so...was a bummer.
But it was just an, Experiment, say the least. of my worries.
I Hear a 'Stella' Calling my name next week or sum day. ; ]

What do you mean with "I'm not seeing is, the 'F' & the 'T' " ?

Open the Tr.ini or TrN.ini and scroll down to the section [track glows].

You see lines like this:

glow0=[255,255,255,255], 1, 7, 0, 5.50, (0, 0), T0

glow0 are the street lights on most tracks. If we look at the numbers, this one is a bright, white light. It flashes (1=on) with frequency t=7 and has diameter 5.50 (It's an example, street lights should not flash normally  ;) ).

Simple as that.

To make it show up ingame, you have to set 2097152 (HEX: 200000) for the light source (or another value with zero as last digits)...
I tested it and this is defintely working. You have all info that is needed, you will figure it out  :D

edit: This is the line for the green light on Landstrasse, which is shown in the picture.
The light source at the tunnel is glow2 (HEX:FFFF0002).

glow2=[200,0,255,0], 1, 5, 0, 5.00, (0, 0), T0

Hey, hi

Here I am again, heh. Wanted say I did better tonight was Fun! I also fixed my Track mess 👽 thanx to you, Madman yup.😀

I'm trying to think harder now.
It sure is Strange when you change the color an that Hex: says 200000 I just don't know what That number means, don't matter really but if funny like?
I made some cool looking Purple one's in the tunnel areas I like that much when weather is on too 😀
Well, I been understanding more bud, how did you really know" were the Tunnel lights would be on Glow=2 line like you told me how can you really find out? Where Others on I want to mod.
Well, again you have gave me a lot help here. I'm glad I fixed my. Mistakes. I like it on #4 for Strobe Effect, it's just kinda Cooler...
Well I think there is some kind of guessing in this. But in T3ed I just choose the light I'm changing color to an add the #'s there. But I can't see how I find the Exact glow line for it.?
But know, the one's you told me like line 0 street lights, etc ttul.
